Going Off Shore

I got the opportunity to go of shore in the the open waters of the gulf of Mexico last week.  I love to fish but for most of my life that has just meant fresh water fishing, where pulling in a 5lb Bass was a beast of a fish.  I really love the challenge of Bass fishing.

Now that I live an hour away from the gulf, fishing is different.  No telling what your going to pull-in!  Regardless the fish are much larger and make it real fun to figure out whats on the other end of the line.

Here's a couple pics from our experience:

Office Time Lapse

I got a d90 for my birthday last week.  I've been having some fun to say the least.  Today was my first shot at taking some timelapse footage.  Oz helped me out with the set-up and compositing, and here is what I ended up with after adding some music and some minor editing...

What a day!

So one of the great benefits of living in south Texas is the weather. That is if you don't mind heat. Its only April and we have already been spending quite a bit of time in my parents pool. It has been some of the most relaxing weekends in a long time.

So I put together a short little video this afternoon after a great day. The video was shot with my iPhone, edited on my iPad, uploaded through my iPad and this blog entry compiled through my iPad. MOBILE rocks!!!

100 Cameras In 1

I love taking pictures with my iphone.  Im not the best photographer in the world and can barely get around with a legit DSLR in my hand.  I really enjoy the ease of use of the iphone though, and the results are pretty amazing.  Well you don't go far in taking pics with the iphone before you start trying out different camera apps to further enhance those photos.  My phone has 3 camera categories alone.  Well, one that I have had for awhile but never really used much was this little app called 100 cameras in 1.  There was just something about it I didn't quite dig.  Well, with my recent acquisition of the iPad 2 I got the ipad version of the app and it ROCKS!  The app itself isn't that different, but being able to see it on the beautiful ipad screen has been great.  It is my goto app for quick post editing of some pics.  Here are a few pics i've had fun with lately:
